Cherry Blossom Surprise

Are you feeling soft and mushy from taking endless photos of the sakura here in beautiful Tokyo? If so, let me teach you how to transform your photos into beautiful paintings full of spirit at  Genesis Art Studio on  Monday 4/20. Two hours of painting and learning about the intuitive world of painting the world both in front and behind your eyes. Swinging Sakura by Liane Wakabayashi

Two sessions offered: 4:30-6:30 and 7:00 – 9:00. ¥3,000 per session of ¥5,000 for two.

Maximum class size is six so please register early to reserve your space. Please bring a few of your favorite cherry blossom photographs. Images with a fair amount of open skies are encouraged.

I’m so proud of my 79 year old mother-in-law, Hiroko Wakbayashi. Here she is in Genesis Art Studio completing her first ever painting of cherry blossoms. With a lifelong background in Ikebana, her flower arranging skills transfer easily to painting what she already loves and knows so well. That’s the secret to great art, I believe. We reach our heights by expressing something deep inside of us that we love.
